Deoderizor TAblets
You will need:
- Rubber gloves
- Glass bowl for mixing
- Baking Soda (1 Cup)
- Essential oils ( Lavender & Lemon Grass)
- Filtered Water (4Tbl)
- A silicone mold (Ice cube trays work too) or Mini muffin tin
- Wooden spoon or Rubbing mixing spatula (Optional)
Snap on those rubber gloves and let’s get to work!
Within your glass bowl, place 1 Cup of baking soda. Using your hands (with gloves still on) break up any chunks or small clumps of baking soda by running your hands and sifting through the baking soda.
Add 12 Drops of essential oil of lemongrass and 20 drops of essential oil of lavender. Continue to sift it through your hands and gloves as to mix in the scented oils thoroughly.
Next add filtered water to your baking soda. Each tablespoon should pack your “snowball” of baking soda together better. Once mixed your soda should not be flaky. If needed or it still seems dry. (***Depending on the quality of your baking soda.) Add an additional 1/2 Tablespoon and that should do the trick.
Place the mixture in your silicone mold and let harden overnight by drying out. Place one small cube in the bottom of your trash cans. Change as needed for best results of freshly scented cans, change weekly.
***Baking soda fresh should not need extra water. However, if you are opting to reuse baking soda (like that box you left in the fridge to deoderize- yes it works for this recipe you may need to adjust the water up OR down by up to 1 Tablespoon for best results.)
