1. “They’re Just THAT Age.”
Being a teenager and hearing people say the phrase, “They’re Just THAT Age” or “They’re just teenagers” is irritating because it lumps you and your actions with every other teenager on the planet. (good or bad)
They’re just teenagers is a label that says you act a certain way simply because you are a teen. All teenagers are not the same.
2. Teenagers are Annoying
Okay, let’s get this straight, there are people that are annoying. Not necessarily because they are teenagers. Have you ever seen an annoying adult? Point made.
3. The Dating Comments
While many teens decide to date young, it is assumed because I am a teenager I have to be dating. As a young adult, it is nice to have a say when I am ready to find someone. When looked at maturely, it is designed to find someone that you want to spend the rest of your life with. Dating comments are often made simply because I have reached a certain age.
