Good Morning!

“It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23

Everyday we are given the blessing of life! What a joy it is to begin each day with the reminder that our faithful LORD and Savior has chosen to gift us another. Such a commodity of this world we are enabled to cherish. Have you ever though about eternity is the scheme of Earth? What I mean is, have you ever thought of how long we have on Earth (generally speaking) in comparison to the time it measures against eternity. Man, that will put pep in your step!

“My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.” Psalm 5:3

Each day we rise, we are gifted a new day. That new day is another opportunity to shine for the LORD and point more people to Christ! And while we live for the LORD, what a blessing and honor it is to be able to enjoy all the rest. Our beautiful families and loved ones! Our sweet friends and neighbors. Pets and hobbies. I often wonder if I will get to garden in heaven. I love watching new life. Babies? Squishy cheeks and beautiful eyes of wonder. Isn’t life so precious?

I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.” Psalm 89:1

Yet in the scheme of things. Earth is a tiny sliver of a bite into that giant sheet cake! It is but a few moments in eternity. It is hard to even fathom! And only what we have done for Christ will matter. As many of you know me, one of my most favorite things on earth is little people! They are beautiful souls, packed with wonder, beauty and goodness, wrapped in squishy kisses and mud with NO filter. It is the best! From babies to adulthood it is beautiful!

Perhaps it is all the growing, milestones and changes that are radiant. Or that most of the time they have not been weighed down by all the world’s problems and expectations yet. They speak real. I love to listen and understand their thoughts on life. And especially about God and Heaven. All unique, individual and full of feeling. I love the reminder that our God is a personal God. And while you can teach and read the Bible for years, when I open it again, HE can speak something totally different that I need to hear that day. Our God is personal and individualized. HE loves us so. And while children tend to grasp this, so often I wonder where we, or adults in general “forget this” concept. Did we graduate, and that is kids’ stuff? Or we found some revolution of new believe or new age discovery that says otherwise? Sin? Or have we veered so far from the basics, that we can no longer see the foundation that was laid?

“For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.” 2 Cor 4:16

A combination of these may be the conclusion as well. But, today may we be reminded that everyday is a new day! And our strength from God outweighs anything we encounter in this life. And just like little children that have their personal, honest and genuine ideas of God in their life; may we do the same. Not a view through broken glasses or a dirty heart filter. But, an honest view based upon the truths in God’s Holy word of whom HE says HE is. Your God is a personal God! He wants to be real to you because HE LOVES YOU! May we be reminded and renewed each day by His Holy word and tender mercies; and see HIS love, feel HIS presence and trust HIS word more today than ever before! Have a wonderful weekend my friend!

Happy Friday!
