God In the Daily: White As Snow
Snow is so beautiful. Gentle and soft fluff. Refreshing and glistening as it trickles silently, weighing down limbs and branches. Wanted or not, it is faithful and does as the master commands. God, our perfect creator, is faithful. His word refreshes, reminds and encourages my heart. There is not a time that I do not need HIS words.
“As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to them that send him: for he refresheth the soul of his masters.” Proverbs 25:13
Just as snow in its beauty is whitening, and cleanses of any muddy scene. His word is so faithful to cleanse our hearts, and wash us clean. In times of struggle, and in times of triumph, His word sustains. Oh, how I need Him! His law, His statues, His commandments; not to keep for safety, but to guide for blessing. HIS grace is sufficient for me.
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Isaiah 1:18
May we be faithful and fashionable like clay to the potter. Trusting His word. Treasuring His cleansing power and desiring to be purged and used for HIS glory and honor.
“Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.” Psalm 51:7
