Christian Womanhood: How do I know if this is okay to do or when I should not do something?
As women striving to be Godly examples in this world, many ladies are searching for answers on various topics. These topics range from everyday life decisions to larger, more visual decisions that change everyday life. Christians around the world often proclaim, “What about ________? What should I do, it’s one of those gray areas with God.”
Truth be told, the Bible does not give us every detailed answer to all the questions in life; but it DOES give us answers to all of these questions if we use principals in which God has outlined in His word.
If you will for a minute, scroll through these 10 Simple Questions (Adaptation from Book). These 10 questions will help determine every answer sought- ever searched for- in a Biblical response according to God’s Word.
Below you will find these 10 questions with Bible verses supporting their principal, no commentary needed. 😉
A Godly Woman Will Ask These 10 Questions:

1. Can You Do it for the Glory of God?
“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31
Whatever “it” is that we are seeking an answer to, will God get glory out of it?
“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

2. Can You Do it in the Name of God?
“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.“
Colossians 3:17

3. Would Jesus Have Done it?
“For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:“
1 Peter 2:21
Christ is our example.
“But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes. I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake. I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father. I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”
1 John 2:11-17

4. Is it of this World?
“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” James 4:4
“If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.“
John 15:19

5. Does It Have the Appearance of Evil?
“Abstain from all appearance of evil.“
1 Thessalonians 5:22

6. Is it a Weight?
“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,” (Hebrews 12:1)
Does it hinder you or hold you back?

7. Can You Do It When You Remember that the Holy Spirit Dwells within you?
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
As a Christian Woman, the Holy Spirit dwells within you.
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.“
Galatians 2:20

8. Is this going to be a stumbling block to others?
“But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak. For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols; And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ. Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.” I Corinthians 8:9-13

9. If Jesus Comes Back, Do you Want to be Caught Doing it?

10. Is There Doubt in You Mind of whether or not it is right or wrong?
“And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.” Romans 14:23
“Every man did that which was right in his own eyes.” Judges 17:6, 21:25

If we ask ourselves these 10 questions before we are even in a predicament, we will be ready. We will have the answers based upon God’s principals in His written word. God is not the author of confusion. HE never wanted us to wander around, not knowing what to do. His word is written so there would be no doubt about many situations and “gray” areas. It’s our job to know and apply the scripture. Decide in your heart before you are ever in a situation of not knowing what to do.
